CarersFamilies are often faced with many challenges as internal and external factors impact on people's lives.
We have a commitment to work with families, children and young people building on their strengths and recognising the importance of safe families functioning within our communities.
Many of our services provide support to families, whether it be for older family members in need of home and community based services such as Community Aged Care Packages and Respite services; families where someone has a mental illness or intellectual disability and families where someone is experiencing a period of homelessness.
Catholic Community Services also operates services which focus on young people, particularly in their role as carers or those with a disability. In the Orana region the Carers at Risk program supports young people who may be at risk of early school leaving due to their caring responsibilities.
